American Cichlid Association services
The American Cichlid Association provides a variety of services to its members, local cichlid clubs, researchers and the cichlid community as part of the goals established in it mission statements. Some of the tools we provide to achieve this end are as follows:
Buntbarsche Bulletin
The Buntbarsche Bulletin is the Journal of the American Cichlid Association which is distributed in both PDF and paper format to the American Cichlid Association active members in full color four times a year.
ACA News
The gossip gazette of the American Cichlid Association with the latest news of the association, it is distributed to members and made available to the general public through this site.

The Cichlid Room Companion
The information center for information on cichlidae, made available to ACA members through a partnership.
Local Club Sanctioning
Through the ACA Show Sanctioning Program, shows held by local aquarium clubs are sanctioned by the ACA and provided with a medallion to be awarded to the best cichlid in the show.
Speakers program
The ACA, realizing the financial cost of bringing in an outside speaker, is proud to offer to our members the ACA Cichlid Speaker Program, sponsored by ZooMed Labs.
Guy Jordan Research Fund
The goal is to support research on any aspect of the biology of cichlid fishes, irrespective of status, nationality, or membership in the American Cichlid Association.
