Convention News
The convention is right around the corner! I have heard that there are still a few rooms left for Friday and Saturday. If you are still thinking of staying at the hotel, I would call now and get the convention rate while it is still available. Things are shaping up for a great time of fish, friends and fun.
Pam Chin and the rest of the BABES are ready and raring to go. As usual, the silent auction will contain many gems that are worthy of either your fish room or as collectibles. Donations are always accepted. Then, be ready for a fun filled night at the BABES live auction. If you’ve never attended a BABES auction, you are in for a treat. Dry goods, apparel, and some very rare fish appear at the BABES auction. Again, your donations are always welcome.
As usual, the Dudes In The Cichlid Hobby are doing nothing. They are hard to beat!
Roving Reporter
Most of you probably know Chris “the Mad Aquarist” Biggs and his larger than life personality. Well, Chris, “the Mighty Gonopodium” himself, is going to be roaming through the convention halls from set-up to tear-down and will be producing a series of short video clips documenting the convention from start to finish. He will also be interviewing YOU. So, be ready to tell the world about the ACA, what you love about the ACA, the convention and the wonderful world of cichlids. It’s your chance to be famous! Help shine the spotlight on the ACA and do a quick interview with him.
Don’t forget the kids! The KICKS group will be having its second annual event so get your kids more involved in the hobby with the KICKS crew.
Have an awesome time at the convention and I’ll be back in touch with you all in August.
Enjoy!
Alan
