ACA – CRC partnership
The American Cichlid Association, in order to provide its membership with the best and most up-to-date information about cichlids, has worked an agreement with the premier cichlid site on the web, The Cichlid Room Companion, giving ACA members access to this subscription-based site. Joining the ACA brings immediate access to the CRC, with all the utilities it offers:
The Cichlid Room Companion offers a complete cichlid catalog with extensive information on each species: Taxonomic, distribution and ecology, natural history, aquarism, conservation, and more. There is also a map for each species showing where it can be found, a list of cichlid species sharing the habitat, a list of localities with pictures, an extensive bibliography for each species, a list of relevant collection records, and much, much more.
The Cichlid Room Companion offers a multitude of cichlid articles, each one of them selected for their quality, all are authored by the most prominent cichlid specialists.
The Cichlid Room Companion offers several specialized editorial sections, each one with multiple articles on their treated topics.
The CRC has a very large reference base for cichlids, for each reference the species covered as well as the relevant taxonomic records (when available) the reference includes are shown. There are several cichlid magazine indexes, including Buntbarsche Bulletin!
